General Introduction
Jig Concentrators are gravity concentration apparatuses, which are designed and mainly utilized in mineral processing for the washing, concentration, separation, and recovery of coarse metals and minerals within the body ore, relying on their specific gravity across the selected screen mesh.
As the high specific gravity differential of materials enables good recovery possibilities, the use of Jig Concentrators for recovering various metals and minerals is widely adopted within the industry.
Jig Concentrators possess a unique capability to accommodate fluctuations in ore grades, tonnage rates, and dilution without any impact on recovery outcomes. This makes them the most crucial and essential devices in mineral recovery.
Advantages
- Low water consumption compared to most centrifugal concentrators.
- A high level of recoveries – capable of recovering 0.5% to 30% concentrate, thereby increasing the recovery rate.
- Wide feed and particle size recovery range – the feed size can reach up to 30mm, which reduces the need for the prescreening step of the feed. This enhances the potential for gravity recovery and helps avoid excessive grinding.
- Efficient – featuring low operating costs and low water consumption.
